pitch. the room is not for sale . forty people tried to buy it anyway . the fake institutions respond: the room now has a waitlist, administered by the corner authentication board in triplicate . the waitlist has no order . joining it moves you to the end . the wife's boyfriend signs up and is the only person whose application is rejected and whose feelings are unharmed .

pitch. he comes down from the smoke and there is a cat on the rooftop . the cat wears a tag . faint but there . he knows one law about cats: his cat has no mark on her, ever . he does not search . he does not call . he sits with the wrong cat for eleven minutes and does not name her . she leaves on her own . two audiences, two readings: the cabal planted her, or she is just a cat with a tag . nothing breaks the tie on screen .
feeds: the dolly lane . this is the season instrument from rule 69 — the loop returns to the same frame each visit, one thing different: the tag, then a second tag, then none . dolly herself never appears during it . her whiskers arrive in the final frame the first and only time she is, correctly, the one without a mark .

pitch. same curb . same tummy wrap . the listener has been there six nights and never said a word . gice dispatches a street team with clipboards to measure him . forty-one questions, all answered by sitting still . the wrap warms two frames when the take settles in the background . the clipboard has no field for it .
feeds: the listener lane + the gice cycle . the joke is the system's misreading, never the person (rule 78): the clipboard output becomes "subject: certified ambient ." the street team's report is filed . the wrap is never mentioned in it .

pitch. the hotel lane, one leaf changed . a guest hums the standard in the elevator, off-key, all the way to 4B . winslow does not correct him . the desk bell, for the first time, rings a bar too long and winslow does not stop it . the I-AGREE float flickers one more time than last visit, in the same hallway, with nobody looking at it .
feeds: the hotel lane . decay, repeated and never repaired . winslow enters from somewhere a desk clerk can't be, the same as always . button: the hum shows up on the ticker board as a tablature nobody requested .

pitch. the store lists the vamp at $33 . it never resolves . that's the whole product . gice's reverse-engineering division acquires nine hundred hours of it, fails to find the loop point, and internally reclassifies the vamp as an unfinished version of itself . they queue a fix . the fix is scheduled in one of their quarterly earnings reports as a deliverable . the vamp outlasts the quarter . the vamp outlasts the deliverable .
feeds: the gice cycle (pathologic periodicity meets a thing that never resolves) + the legend cycle (step 2, the day-to-day falls away every time he sets on the vamp) . button: the board moves to form a task force on resolution . quorum pending .

pitch. breakfast was already a product nobody has opened . forty-seven purchases, zero openings . a class action is filed against the product by the people who bought it, for being better before they knew what it was . breakfast responds in writing . the letter is certified by cardboard . one line remains in the deposition, quoted by the court, unexplained: "neither does breakfast ."
feeds: the legend cycle (the impossible thing is a product that cannot be consumed) + the fake institutions lane . cardboard's criteria stay unknown and consistent . verdict: "certified ." the case is adjourned at 4:20 .

pitch. a gice commercial, the pattern interrupt lane . two cats exchange gifts at a birthday party . one gives a lifetime of hearing a room . the other gives a gice tile . the tile unwraps itself, the way tiles do . the room goes quiet in the polite way . the tagline holds on no face, no mouth, no payoff: "gice. you were expecting something else."
