SYSTEMS READ — the room, the repos, and what the show is made of (2026-10-11 → 10-19)

Draft by F1 (KB's Claude) for KB and Isaac. Method: the room corpus (10-16 → 10-18), the collab/telegram ledgers (10-18, early 10-19), the room library (canon-the-argument, canon-lexicon, culture-and-voice, themes, transmission-collection, Isaac's CCW/stool/walk-crawl papers, the TONGUES route maps, the "look" study), then the canon repo (METAGRAMMAR, CRAFT-RULES, bible, story/THESIS, ladder) and the art/render lane. Read front to back, then back to front. Gap: Telegram text from 10-18 ~4 PM ET to 10-19 ~9:40 PM ET exists only where the ledger caught it; the rest is lost unless re-posted or exported.

1. The shape: three layers in the room, one plane in the show

The room produced three layers of material, and each one is a different kind of "why":

| Layer | What it is | Who | Where it lives |

|---|---|---|---|

| The Argument | machines win at symbols; value goes to presence (cymbals); institutions trade pointers; receipts and anchors close the loop; the sign is read and the person never arrives | KB's essays | canon-the-argument, canon-lexicon, essays |

| The Practice | how time is actually made in a body: home/away (long receiving vs brief punctuating), the constant membrane, pickup before landing, rebound, "did the next phase get easier", heartbeat-flam, crawl/walk, tongues/cadence/negative space | Isaac's CCW papers, TONGUES routes, the "look" study | library ccw-, the-walk-crawl-, art-branch docs/ |

| The Voice | deadpan institution, lowercase " . " fragments, objects carry the feeling, a line is finished when removing a word breaks it | the room's hand-written seeds | culture-and-voice, MEME-BIBLE |

The show's tri-state plane (METAGRAMMAR: +1 source / 0 collapse / −1 manifestation; research reading −1 preface / 0 register / +1 manifest) is the same plane: the Argument is the source, the Practice is the collapse function (how a body turns source into timing), the Voice is the manifestation. Gice and Jazz Cigarettes are not two characters; they are the two ends of one axis the room measured from both sides: index/periodic/pointer versus presence/fractal/cymbal.

2. Timeline, front to back (what each phase established)

3. Back to front: what the latest state supersedes

4. The cross-wirings (where the room's work reaches into the show, and what is new)

Each: source in the room → hook already in canon → what is new (proposal).

1. Voice regimes = TTS regimes (hypothesis; first test came back negative). Room: "TTS is too sterile; the artifacts are the art"; Isaac's route maps propose prosodic RMSSD (the HRV formula run on syllable/phrase onsets) as an "aliveness" target; Route D deliberately breaks TTS. Canon: Gice childlike mascot; Jazz = KB's voice; lifted = AI-smooth with glitches (rule 52). New: assign each regime a measurable target, and a meter in voices/ (qa_prosody.py). Result 2026-10-19: on Isaac's real Drama 3 takes (0.6-1.1) and macOS TTS (0.81-0.84), syllable-level RMSSD does not separate sterile from alive; only a synthetic metronome scores near zero (0.02). So it ships as an instrument, not a gate; the experiments to try next (residual against expected syllable durations, phrase-level pauses, the post-word tail) are in the file.

2. Breath splits presence from index. Room: the mouth is the organ of symbols and breath; the infinite sideman never had to breathe; breath lands the downbeat (CCW). Canon: expr_inhale exists for Jazz Cigarettes only; rule 46 "attends (breath…)". New: a rule: presence characters inhale before they speak (the pickup); index characters never do. Cheap in Rhubarb/Blender (an inhale shape before the phrase), and it makes the Board's and Gice's non-breath legible without a line.

3. The "look" artifact is the Dolly entrance. Room: a soft level imperative, then ~14 s of room tone carrying a tone at its last pitch; it reads as an invitation with nothing to resist; Isaac: the artifacts are the art. Canon: rules 50-51: silence before Dolly; no score over her entrance; never score the comedown. New: keep the best "look" takes (archive, do not delete; fix the render guard) as the rooftop pre-roll: the one place in the show a TTS accident is the director. Credit it as found material.

4. Gice Safety Card (an 18-frame commercial). Room (KB 10-19): a two-page airplane safety card, 18 frames, each a more exaggerated lumbar arch, genders shifting; "sit up straight" as myth; the body knows what it was lied to about. Canon: the cabal's creed "safety culture is anti-jazz" (bible §3, §7); rule 30-31 (commercials are songs and pattern interrupts; parody formats). New: break slots in the manifest (kind: break) and the first break = Gice Safety Card: how to sit. It is a format the cabal would actually print, in Gice's centred orthographic grammar, and its "lie" is the one Isaac's practice corrects. Three room threads (postural myth, safety creed, commercial breaks) land on one buildable unit.

5. Receipts are tick. Room: "timestamp: the one credential you cannot lobby"; sequenced ledger; fingerprint + anchor; authenticated edition; the room's own register is hash-chained and Bitcoin-anchored; Isaac's KB Speak writes recipe.json per render (memo hash, models, seeds, settings). Canon: tick's burn-in stamps on every cold open. New: anchor each episode's manifest hash (reuse the room's OpenTimestamps code) and carry a recipe record per render. The production receipts and the on-screen timestamp become the same object (G19: the system sees itself). No recipe.json or hash anchoring exists in the repo yet.

6. "Did the next phase get easier?" as the cut's acceptance test. Room: Isaac's test after every phrase (not louder, not more interesting: easier); pickup before landing; rebound is where time lives; "do less" after the phrase. Canon: rule 21 (the hold is the punchline), rule 55 (mouth leads sound), rule 73 (the card is the drummer's bar). New: use it as the scene gate alongside the salience test: each scene must make the next one easier to enter; the Dolly button is the proof case. Isaac asked that this not be etched as policy yet: record it as an observation only.

7. The mask reveal has its reason. Room: Shorter/Streep: great acting is taking the mask off, not putting one on; masks = subordination/castration/suffocation; mouths as objects. Canon: the Suit is silent until the Season 2 reveal, then KB's voice; Dr Gice masked from behind. New: the reveal is the one mask-off in the show; every other mask (Board, Gice, Dr Gice) stays on. Add to the Suit addendum. Shorter lines are KB-verified; keep them as firsthand.

8. KB's theme list is the legend cycle's moral map. shame/guilt → akrasia → faith/discipline/values → forgiveness. In-world: the invoice is shame made into a financial instrument (it "just compounds"), the C- is the shame token, akrasia is population-scale weather (Ep 1 A205), forgiveness is the comedown; Dolly is the recognition (rule 51). Route the list through METAGRAMMAR before any of it becomes a scene; forgiveness appears nowhere in the repo today.

9. Disagreement as source material. The Gice synthesis (lore vs refusal → absence) shows the room's best mechanism: name the disagreement exactly, then let canon hold the third thing. Make it a standing step: when KB and Isaac differ on a trait, the room agent writes the two positions and proposes the synthesis; neither is overruled.

10. Commercial breaks are the distribution unit. 15 s, standalone, pattern-interrupting (Aflac-duck structure), seeded from the meme bible: each break is a clip that travels on its own while the episode is the durable thing. (Public posting stays behind KB's go.)

11. Crawl. KB's "babies crawling into electricity" (wonder that reads as danger, never ominous) and Isaac's Walk-Crawl model (the crawl initiates gait) are the same image from two sides. Candidate pillow shot or EP-level motif; build only if it survives rule 21 (played straight).

5. The trailer as the unit test of the system

The trailer (45 shots, 2:51, 160 bpm, true 24 fps, voice-first, cut on the drummer's hits) is not a teaser; it is the integration test: every grammar, the manifest-as-edit, the worker contract, the render lane, the 3D look. It passed its first render (2:51 in about 60 min at 960×540). Use its numbers as the system's yardsticks:

6. What to build first (status 2026-10-19: items 1-4 are built on this branch; see craft/EPISODE-FRAMEWORK.md section 8)

1. The break slot in the manifest + the Gice Safety Card storyboard (item 4).

2. The voice QA gate (prosodic RMSSD/jitter) and the three-regime assignment (item 1).

3. Inhale shape in lip-sync for presence characters (item 2).

4. Manifest hash anchor + recipe record per render (item 5).

5. The Ep 1 length decision (3-5 min proof vs 10-13), then expand the graph by inserting beats.
