KB: the corpus's contents (Sun Ra, the Vatican token, Thiel, the CIA, Yarvin, the AACM, the sigil, Ngai, Dobis, détournement, the recommender paradox, the loop, authorship, the operators, affect) become devices, mechanisms and humor in the show, independent of the emotion, or direct to the joke. The show is the internet; a sentence about it is semantic; an operator with a documented outcome is not. Rules of use come from the corpus itself: a declared wrapper, no living person as a target, no forged agency document, real people and institutions as composites. Case facts below are the corpus's own grading (instance A, ledger head 0036d176526d), not re-verified. Lines are candidates in the site voice.
| corpus item | what the record says (corpus) | the device / mechanism | the joke form | where it lands |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Sun Ra | persona and cosmology as art and religion; the wrapper held for decades and built an artist-owned label and an orchestra | the absent origin and the declared cosmology: a persona that never explains where it is from | deadpan origin claims said as weather ("born in 4/4 time . the hospital didn't know what to do with me .") | Jazz Cigarettes; the plaque "est. indefinite"; Ep9 (the catalog, the artist-owned label) |
| The Vatican token | a resemblance (a Vatican mascot and a Milady) retold as an operation; an unofficial token passed $80M in two days | object-to-operation inflation: a thing that looks like something is announced as doing it | a press release for a statue ("the statue has been acknowledged .") | a statue of a cat saint wearing a lanyard in the Gice city plates (Ep3, Ep10); the Board's minutes |
| Thiel | three documented facts produced one undocumented conclusion about funding that outlived the news cycle | funding drift: a grant retold as an owner | the lamppost plaque "lamp donated by Gice" and the Board then claiming the corner | Ep10 (Gice tries to buy the wall); the lamppost plate in Ep1 |
| The CIA | "the CIA funded the war on jazz": no documentary basis, but every thread it braids is real (the State Department tours, the congress, the narcotics bureau, the cabaret cards, a joke candidacy) | true-thread braiding, with the conclusion never said: the show's conspiracy law (O14, see above / see below) | a list in which every item is true and the sum is absurd ("item one . a tour . item two . a card . item three . a candidacy .") | Ep8 (the ten findings); the weather rule |
| The cabaret card | the documented, local war on jazz: musicians lost the right to play in clubs | a credential that can be revoked: the badge before Gice's badge | "your card is pending ." | Ep2 (Cardboard Certified; the Purity Badge is a cabaret card) |
| Yarvin (the Cathedral) | a theory of an invisible consensus-forming institution; the corpus keeps only documented facts about a living person | the Cathedral as architecture, never as a person: Gice's Conservatory has a nave, a congregation that files as a task force | a stained-glass window of tiles; "the congregation will form a committee ." | the Board scenes; Ep7. Not named, not drawn. |
| The AACM | a counter-institution that stayed: a written purpose, a school, a roll | charter and rolls: the opposite of the committee that cannot reach quorum | the roll is read aloud and everyone is present | Ep7 (set against the Board); Ep4 (the room of eighty) |
| The sigil | recombine found material to charge it with an intention | the sticker and the blue screens are sigils: a shape charged with intent that nobody can read | STOP: 0x0000JAZZ as incantation | the cold open card; Ep10 (a sigil on every wall) |
| Ngai | minor aesthetic categories: the cute, the zany, the interesting, and the gimmick | three registers as house rules: Cardboard and Dolly are cute; the Board is zany (motions at speed); Gice speaks in "interesting" (the verdict that is never a verdict); the Gice tile is the gimmick (it saves labor and shows labor) | the Grader says "interesting ." where a grade belongs | every Gice scene; the Grader; the tile |
| Dobis | a guest post ("Milady as a Total Art") on someone else's page, mis-attributed; the record carries an attribution correction | attribution drift and the correcting card | "correction : this was written by the other one ." | a bumper variant; Ep9 (the estate and the authorship of the catalog) |
| Détournement | a case where an edgy détournement carried risk (Yuga v. Ripps) | Gice commercials are détournements of real ad formats; the airplane safety card is one | a Gice ad whose product is its own terms | the breaks; the safety card |
| The recommender paradox | not a defined term in either file. Nearest in the corpus: Spotify's ghost artists and The Velvet Sundown; in SRIDA, paper 002 (the cold start problem) and 003 (the algorithm tax on research). Read here as: the grade follows the count that the grade produced. | a closed loop: the rubric obeys the follower count; the cold start is the corner at 11:47 PM with zero | "technique . adequate ." becomes "we should grab coffee ." | Ep1 followers (already built); Ep3 |
| The loop | principle 1 (outputs re-enter) and Botto and Herndon, loop as the work | the Telegram is a scene; Ep12 returns to Ep1's opening image; the manifest is the edit | the Discord is the room | the discord scene; Ep12 |
| Authorship | mandatory in the ledger, optional in the art; the courts keep a human-shaped slot | tick's burn-in credits objects, not people | "sticker by : the wall ." | tick's ledger line per scene; the credits |
| The operators | 29 repeatable moves with documented outcomes (price as proof, sale as performance, reveal event, panic as fuel, deniable provocation, meme capture ...) | the show's own operators (O1-O14) are chosen against them (instance B bridge, 83 links) | each operator is a joke shape: the price card is the argument; the sale is the work | per the Pendulum reports |
| Affect | 13 dyads; affect is the fitness function; tag the charge before the meaning | every Ep1 scene now carries an affect tag (plan.affect) | the charge, independent of what is said | all 31 scenes, every dyad used at least once |
KB pointed to the post-semantic debt instruments in the srida repository. The repo has no document by that name (a code search for "debt instrument" found nothing). Closest, read for this note: 029 Post-Semantic Pricing: When Time = 0 (when production time approaches zero, price moves to scarcity made of trust, taste, coordination and access; the market has not caught up) and 053 The Measurement Tax (a system that measures what it cannot stop; its reports accumulate beside the thing they describe, and the reports are themselves the same shape as the entropy). The second is a comedy mechanism already in the show: tick's second counter and the Board's minutes count what nobody can stop. If a different paper is meant, name it and it joins this table.
The table above leaned jazz (Sun Ra, the CIA, the cabaret card, the AACM were four of its nine cases). KB's rule for the MAP: use it 20% for jazz and 80% for everything else, as the first order that can be taken to the second and third or slapped on directly. The corpus itself is 31% jazz (19 of 62 cases), so the show draws against the grain. internal/corpus-jc/map/ lays the 62 cases out as a matrix (case x operator x affect x wrapper), holds 26 draws (21 not jazz, 5 jazz = 19%), and checks two things: the ratio, and that every slot is a node of the show. Each draw is a formula from a documented case with a slot filled by a canon node, so the slot is interchangeable (GICE, the badge, the quarter, the wall) and the node is not: a line keeps its relevance to the meme, which is the repo. The draws are in voices/dialogue/candidates/map-slaps.csv, in instance B as designed claims, and linked to their cases and operators in the bridge (135 links).
Direct slap, built in: the corpus's first-order sentence with GICE in the slot ("it is easier to imagine the end of the world than the end of GICE") is now an inscription over the Conservatory's inner door in Ep1 (walk_out, shot W01), never read aloud. It is a runner (CRAFT-RULES 17): in each later episode the same inscription returns with one slot changed to that episode's instrument (the badge, the quarter, the season, the feed, the mascot, the standard, the audit, the estate, the wall, the valuation); Ep12's door is blank. Craft rule 82 records the rule.
Cases left out of the draws on purpose: those with physical harm, and the one whose wrapper failed on false statements about real people; their structure is research, not material.
